no worries sarah.  from what i can make out this cars engine packed up and the owner bought all the parts from a mark 1 that had been broken including its 16v engine.  Hence i have this car plus a whole load of spares from another broken mark 1.   If i can help at all, i will.  just let me know what parts u need.


i totally agree with you ads.  If someone offered me a brand new cupra for cheap, dont get me wrong, id except it.  but then i would sell it and go and buy a completely mint mark 1.  I dont drive a mark 1 cos im poor, i drive it cos its pure class  8)

Vix, you could probably recoup some of your costs by flogging that seized engine on ebay  8)

or...you could keep it in your living room as an ornament... ;) :D
