hope its nothing....
« on: 02 March 2009, 18:00 »
i have just taken me golf 1.8t aum out for a lil drive but when i put me foot down in second it seemed to have a hic-up in the pulling around about 4 k revs. ( weird feeling )  ill try explain it lol
i put me foot most of the way down on throttle and it pulled as allways but then had a bit of a judder but then pulled all the way nice and hard as normal. i tryed it a few times it did the same another two times but then after that it seemed to have cleared.

any ideas?? im goin to do the throttle body clean hopefully during the week. as iam on the list for the RR day in portsmouth , do u think it is a good idea to carry on with the RR day ??

thanx alex

sounds like a faulty MAF sensor to me, i had the same problem when i picked up my golf last year! When i put my foot down the
acceleration was juddery and not smooth. The MAF sensor would bring up no fault codes either, you can either replace it, or clean it.

Dont get an aftermarket one though, buy one from volkswagen!Cost me around 65pound!
