Thanks for all the comments guys.  Re the mileage, it will suprise people defo.  The car cost me £1100, when I'd sold a MK3 for £1000.  It needed a few quid for the MOT etc, but the jobs were highly labour intesive, and I did them myself.  The previous owner cut their losses rather than a hefty labour/parts charge.  Now it's cleaner, it looks like 50k.

Parts wise, there isn't a service book, but I know the previous owner.  It has always been serviced, and never tinkered with but people who don't know what they are doing.  There is a pile of receipts to show the service history, including a major service with sparks in Nov.

It also had a rebuilt gearbox in Oct, inc a new bellhousing.  It had a clutch at 164k.  With regular servicing, it's only the turbo that will need doing in the next 100k.  It's only a second car to the Megane, so if it needs time off the road, it'll get it.

It also drives very well.  Very pleased, especially with the re-map.  We'll see what it's putting out at the RR day at the end of the month   Re the wheels, they're gonna get dirty whatever the colour.  They'll also be taken off in the next few weeks to have a layer or two of poorboys wheel sealant.  As they stand, they're like new, so had a sponge over them on Sat evening and have not been touched.

Looks great mate, top job!

Did you machine polish it then, what products did you use?
Yes indeed.  My mate has a G220.  It was menzerna products on a cutting pad, but I left him to chose which while I got on with door shuts, glass, buffing.  I didn't pick the machine up (except the bonnet where I used 2.5, 1.5, then black hole glaze - but think the rest of the car was intensive), until it came to glaze it.

It was all finished with black hole glaze by machine and nattys blue by MF

It still has blemishes, don't get me wrong, but to the untrained eye at 5 paces, it looks mint!
