I'm missing the key number, and I only have one main key and an emergency key. Is the number stored in the key fob? Or is it that when a new key is cut it is tailored to the particular number? - In which case I guess I'm screwed.
It's just a 1.6 S by the way, not a fancy GTI, if that makes any difference.
