At the bottom of the seat there are about 4 metal clips, bend them back and pull the cloth over them to open the bottom part.

I used a length of copper pipe about 8 inches or sumit to push over the ends of the 4 plastic legs that protrude through a hole on the inside of the seat.  The copper pipe was about 20mm diam I think.

I'll post a pic of one later if I can, so you get an idea of what they look like.

Cheers mate, i got past that stage, now i cant get those plastic bits off at the top. I managed to use the nail removing part of a hammer to get the first one out but the second one is seriously broken. Cant see how to remove it to get the cover off

Well the way to think of those plastic bits is, uhhh...  Like a table, the four legs have to be squeezed inward so the plastic can be pushed back through the hole.

Each leg has a hook to latch onto the circumfurance of the hole.

Here you go.

No, like I said, push the copper pipe over the ends, so the ends go inward.

Yeah, it's a fidly job. Joe on this forum is an upholsterer, he might have a better way of doing it, but my way will work........in the end

grab the bit on the top (outside), with your finger & thumb while your squeezing the legs inward.

No, haven't finished the rearbench yet

I got hold of a corrado rearbench (£15) to take moulds of the shape of the head rests. It's going to have 3 head rests on the rearbench, (centre one will be lower)

I need to vacuum bag my front ones and then make a mould, then alter it a little (to make a 60/40 bench) by cutting and welding the frame back together.

I got all the measurements I need, just need to get off my arse.
