keep the black but loose the red rim imo

That would mean having to get them resprayed which costs ££££'s You can also get black edition BBS CHs which have a silver metallic stripe/edge if you don't like the red, but I think red looks

....

If I ever went for black wheels (unlikely) on my red GTI, I would want those with the red rim.

They don't look right because the red rim draws your eye to then notice a huge gap to the wheel arches - So you need to sort out your suspension, which may also have added benefits if you do so with handling rather than just looks in mind.

Also you need coded side skirts.

It's a slippery slope!!

Hi ho Silver all the way.....black wheels look like they need a wash. But then I am old enough to remember when all cars came with steel wheels!! Just my opinion but you did ask.

Let the fun begin........Red Gti, full colour coding, DSG, Xenons, Winter pack, Lux pack, Highline, Sat Nav, Sunroof, Leather, Milltek, ABT rear valance, Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics....pescaras :-)

Really like the colour - they're different which is nice!

Are they the 17"?

Thanks for all of the opinions, and keep them coming! It's really interesting to see people's opinions about them.

The car's booked in for the suspension to be done on Tuesday, so I'll see what difference that makes. I think the lowering will make a big difference to the appearance and it needs it with this more aggressive wheel. I'll post some pics when it's done

DanoGTI - They're 18" but I won't take offence!

No Golf Clubs at all - My sister said that it looked like my wheel trims had fallen off, but then I pointed out she drove a Corsa...

Does lowering the car a little make the ride harder and more uncomfortable?

Generally speaking, yes, but it depends on how you lower it too. Different brands of springs/shocks/coilovers will be harder/softer and more/less bouncy. Some are adjustable so you can keep them closer to stock damping for comfort and slam it for shows
