Project or not?
« on: 25 February 2009, 15:18 »
I got my Golf GTi and I'm working on it at the moment to make sure it's running all good. So far, oil change and put a standard air box on it, and getting some other work done tomorrow. Right now, it's a restoration project, trying to get it running like new, or as good as I can.

I plan over the next year or two though to upgrade the engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes when I have time and space to store it while I work on it.

Only downside is I'm going into the royal navy this week so work will be slow and many months in between real work being done.

Is this classed as a project?

I would thinks so. Worth opening up a projects thread anyway. There are some projects on there for very late models of the Golf where the owners just put in routine serviceing and mild upgrades. Not what I would term as a project, but still...

I see. Well, starting out servicing and repairs as a learning curve. Next step is to upgrade the whole car, however could end up as a track day toy, depends on how things go really. May inquire about making a thread later on. Thanks.
