JUST DELOCKED MY GTi...................

Well after reading the horror of a fellow mk4 golf owner having their car broken into on sat on here i got straight onto ebay to try and source a kit for my mk4 GTi i managed to get a brand new genuine vw kit for both my front doors consisting of the metal blanking plug,metal disc, and outer blanking cap profesionally sprayed reflex silver for £15 + £1.50 p+p each total steal so paid the buy it now price of £33  .....well they turned up today in dealer bags and dealer stamp on bag from the vw sprayshop........anyway they looked A1 and in perfect condition  i sat down and re-read the R32OC guide to make sure i knew what i was doing and set about fitting them well 30mins later and both delock kits have been fitted  it makes the car look so much cleaner and smoother and adds ooddles of extra protection aswell plus was a total doddle to fit  ..........no pics to hand at mo but will post up some at weekend

u must mate but make sure you get the metal disc in the kit (as some kits DON'T inc it) as thats what covers up the slot which enables the door to be opened if for some reason the thief breaks of the blanking cap  ....if they do they've no chance in getting in if the disc is fitted as its glued over the slot and a perfect fit and as its resest in so would prove difficult to remove with a screwdriver etc  .......i stuck the disc to the end of a marker pen with some chewing gum and guided the disc into the hole and pushed it in til the glue held.........piece of pi$$

i was lucky as the dealer had 3x silver kits left....all gone now  ......i think they sell normally for £15+ish on ebay UNPAINTED plus p+p unless you're lucky to find um painted.......they've got 2x kits left painted in DIAMOND BLACK PAINT CODE LC9Z.......same price i paid.........details DSGWAGEN item no 400023480784  hurry up guys........

The only problem is......... what if your car battery dies how do you get in to pop the bonnet

just get in via the boot with the key as that lock is solid if uve dehandled the boot ive no idea maybe only delock 1 door maybe do the drivers door and leave the passenger door normal

Dont think they include the metal disc in the vw speed kits.....could source some foreign currency as a work around tho :p
