rear sidelight bulb blowing?

Since December 24th, the bulb on my rear light bulb holder for the sidelight has gone, 3 times. Why?

Check all the connections to make sure it's not arking, and there isn't any water in there is there?

probably some sort of short circuit. Check fuse is right ampage aswell.

No, no leakages. What is arking?

Dec - The sidelight bulb (middle one of the cluster).

The fuse would be in the fuse box? What's the ampage meant to be? And the other bulb hasn't gone in the 12 months I've had the car, and this one has only just started going since Dec :(

Oh, yeah Dec, he's terrible that guy.  :laugh:

Arking is where a wire is touching and sort of loose, so it sparks a bit. Loose wire basically.

how would that cause the bulb to blow? If the wire is loose then it would flick on and off rather than blow. Theres gotta be a shortcut in the circuit somewhere or the fuse is wrong ampage, although is fuse is wrong ampage it should blow the other bulb too....worth a check anyway.

My drivers side middle rear bulb has a dodgy connection :huh: People keep telling me its blown, then when I get out and look its working. Today when I got out I didnt close the door though and it was out but the door closed slowly behind me and when it slammed, the light came back on :rolleyes:

Don't know why tbh other than maybe a dodgy connector :sad:

ive got a dodgy connection on my right numberplate light. sometimes it doesnt work, and if i open my boot then slam it closed it works again. need to check the connections.
