Sidelight help needed quick smart!
« on: 22 February 2009, 11:02 »
Right, i've managed to change all of the other bulbs in situ, but can't for the bloody life of me work out how to get the sidelight bulbs out.

I've tried turning, pinching even yanking and the bastards wont come out.

A shiny gold coin for the first person to help me as the Mrs wants me to get 'the bloody thing sorted'

thanks all

Keep at it... It can be done! Its all about managing to get your hand in, the grip right (as I am sure you know all about if you have done the other bulbs!!).

That's the thing, I've managed to change all of the other bulbs. It's just the bloody sidelights i can't get out.

It looks like there might be some kind of special tool required to pull the holder out or something. As I said, i've tried every other technique of getting the little begger out on the easy to access side, but with no joy.

May try ringing the stealer tomorrow to see if they can offer any kind of insight...

know it may sound weird but if you mrs has got some sort of vanity mirror you can position it so you can see exactly where you need to be pulling, that and some long nose pliers and the little basket will some come loose! stick with it, it can be done!
