Door Locks problem gone BIGSCALE

Hi guys,

My first post on here and im looking for some help.

The door locks on my MK4 seems to have stopped working, they have got gradually tough
and now it wont open at all and i have to climb in the boot to get into the car.

Has this happened to anyone else or can anyone give me advice?

I dont have RCL..............help?

could be the door module. Or the lock could have just given in.

is it all the doors playing up
you might want to try spraying some wd40 into the barrels to free them up

Yeah both drivers and Passenger have now completly broken.
The passenger one just turns now 360, the button pops up but
doesnt open.

very common
try this open the drivers door and in line with the handle on the inside leading edge of the door is a plastic grommet
pull this out then get a T20 or T25 torx spline driver and loosen the screw behind itDO NOT UNDO IT ALL THE WAY
you can then prise out the barrel in the door
once this is removed look in the hole and you will see a white piece of plastic with a slot in it
now close the door or push the lock into simulate being closed and turn the plastis piece with a flat hed screwdriver and see if the central locking works if so then you may need replacement barrels if not then you may have been really unlucky and had both lock modules go faulty

I dont have the tools as im a girl ....hehe.

If i take this to a mechanic ....do you think it will be expensive to fix?

Could i fix it myself if i bought a torx spline driver, ive never even heard
of a spline driver so i would need to buy one and give it a go.
