I remember reading that many imports from dubi were sat around for months and started to rust - look around the engine - I think quite a few of these were sold via motorpoint. The low price of GTis at the moment I'd keep shopping around for a UK one.

In sept I paid £15k for a Feb 08 manual black 3dr GTi with cruise and arm rest from a main dealer, so I think you can do better than that!

ETA Mine had only 4000 miles, was metallic black and also had RCD500 audio upgrade! Not bad for a 7 month old car!

Hi...  First thing I noticed were the black nobs on the radio.. this says it's a version 1 Mk5 GTi 2004 - 2005 and not an 07...

I posted this about imports a while ago, may be useful to you if you go and have a look.  I would'nt have any concerns myself about an import from another European Country ...  but Dubai ? I must admit that would put me off - there could be different spec undersealing, cooling, etc to the European market  :rolleyes:  that we don't know about
