What options for replacement gear knobs?
« on: 20 February 2009, 20:40 »
What options are there for replacing the gear knob in a GTI. I know there is the R Line, R32, Bora and Lupo GTI knobs but can you use others that aren't VW?

Also i like the look of the R Line and the Lupo GTI but was wondering can i just use the gear knob and not the gaiter? I would like to use my gaitor as it has no surrond at the bottom!? Can the surrond be removed from the R line/Lupo?

Pictures of yours?

Thanks.

I've got a Bora knob on mine but I thin kI'll be swapping it eventually for a Lupo GTI item as I like the look of these the more I see them

Is the R Line a direct fit? Can the silver/brushed base ring be removed? The base ring might look weird with all black interior!?

Can the gator be removed from the the Lupo knob?
