Did this MK4 belong to anyone on here????? W681 GJO

Just wondered whether the old owner of this MK4 1.8t belongs to anyone on here, from what the guy i brought it off said the owner before him was a bit of a golf nut and i believe he was the the one that had the mods done, i think he said the guy also had another golf aswell, just wondered as the forum stickers are still on the windows and was curious as to the mods done and whether there was anything else that i didn't know about the vrn is W681 GJO (W6 81G JO).

Oh no, thats Joeys old car, had all sorts of engine problems with it after he sucked up water through air filter  :undecided: :sad:

Ok, had no probs at all, so far, wife drives to work everyday about 60 mile round trip and evrything has been fine, engine wise, is he still on here?

No he bought an astra VXR after selling the golf.
the problem with the water was kind of sorted from what i know, he still had problem with it cutting out randomly every so often and chucking out a huge cloud of smoke from the back sometimes, but other than that it was pretty good car.

Yeah, he had all sorts of electrical problems going on and as kharekatoh said it kept cutting out at high speed.

Had 2 minor elec faults, reverse light switch plug and bad earth Left hand rear tail lights but apart from these no probs and my mate i brought it off didn't say anything, i said brought at xmas and my wife does about 60 miles a day and no problems so far, hope it stays that way.

BA£$!&DS you got me, so seriousley anyone know the previous owner, just wondering about mapping and what fuel its been mapped to use etc. :grin:
