Mk5 boy in need of some help.
« on: 19 February 2009, 22:19 »
I have currently got my Edition 30 for sale. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/846633.htm

Its also on AT for 17,995 I will take £17,000 between you forum members and me.

Anyway I 'think' I am getting banned and when I get the lisence back I will be needing a new car enter your Mk4 knowledge.

The options: Audi A3 2.0TDI S Line 60+ Miles at around £10,000
or               Anniversary Golf 1.9TDI 150 with around same mileage at 6/7 grand.

Naturally I think I know what you would choose but im also looking for pictures and potential mods I could do to it...not too clued up in the mk4 department.

And finally Black or Silver? For me the wheels stand out better on the black but I like the idea of having a silver one having the alloys refurbed in black.

Pictures and your help is greatly appreciated :)

Edit: Just had a quick scan through and I may consider a normal 150 TDI Golf...liking the look of Sambo's.

I love A3's, but then again, Anni's are just so 8).  (Plus you'll pocket a few £k over the A3). ;)

Normal Golf 150 PD's are nice, but you'll end up wanting Anni 'bits' for it, so you may as well just get the Anni to begin with! :D

just be aware that the options list on an Anni was very limited

normal 150's tended to be very well specced

Good example is Ridg's - he's got leather, xenons etc etc

or pocket even more money and get the best of the lot - the 130TDI

(pic whore alert!)

I would be after the 150 regardless of spec, I previously had a Astra Sporthatch 150. I love the Edition 30 but its just the sensible move for me at the moment to sell it to save around £200-£250 a month in fuel/finance/insurance.

Keep the pictures coming :)

Anni , its got to be the Anni !!

When the time came to upgrade my 2.0 8v  MK4 I was in three minds of Either an Anni (180 1.8T), A3 140 TDI or MK5 and (obviously) went for the MK5 mainly because I dont think Im going to get many other chances in life to own a really nice motor that cost as much as is does. I've got a real soft spot for Annis and think they look really nice. I think when the time comes and the MK5 has to go I will be looking out for a tidy Anni. I will def be going back to the MK4.

Get the Anni . . . .etc etc etc :)
