As title....eventually offing the r32 (assume copies) wheels as sig below.......getting some nice nearly new pascaras at the weekend....will I need to replace my locking nuts and my bolts???

This post would benefit from a pic of my current bolts....will try to sort soon, but in the meantime can anyone shed some light?

pretty sure you need new bolts for them

the ones you need are for normal steels and OEM alloys (radius seated)

the ones you have are for after market alloys/ reps etc

just phoned Auto Image on Great Western road, they have the radius bolts at £1.75 each but wil check the wheel for you to tell you what bolts you need for definate

cheers

Iff you have genuine OEM R32 alloys, and are getting genuine OEM Pescaras, then the bolt pitch, seat and length will be identical.  :nerd:

Unless your current or new alloys are not OEM, then there is no need for pics.  However, if they are aftermarket, then get snapping.

Nope.  All genuine OEM Mk5 wheel bolts, be they for normal steelies, alloys or space-saver pram wheels all share the identical wheel bolt.  Otherwise, how the fcuk would you manage if you had a puncture and need to use your pram wheel?

Just arrived back from Lucas place near Bolton, excellent Pescaras in almost new condition (thanks mate)...

good news is I took them to my trusty fitter and he tried one on the car with the existing bolts they work, hence saving me some more dosh.  Got there too late today, the lads were just shutting shop so I will go tomorrow and hopefully post Sunday afternoon with my new look

BTW the R32 alloys are copies, it says  Made in Italy and some other marking...no mention of VW or serial numbers etc....wonder if I will be able to move them on easily.

bad news is...I just returned home to a ridiculous premium hike in my insurance from Diamond....up something like £160 pa....  I have to shop around...totally ridiculous!
