dumpvalve

people keep saying that you have to fit a recirculating dump valve, but i wanted dump to atmosphere valve (got to have that noise) so i rang around and got different answers from different companys... some saying it is fine aslong as you fit it correctly, and others saying NO it will light up the engine management light, then others saying that it could work but theres a possibilty it will light the dreaded engine management light... so i thought about it for the whole of 2 mins and decided fcuk it ill go for it anyway so i went to R-TEC and told him what i want... straight away he says "it will make your engine managment light come on" i thought fcuk it!!! ill go for it... then he says "coz i warned you about this i have to tell you that if it dosnt work out on your car you wont be able to get a refund as ive already told you it wont work" well i had to think for a moment do i risk loosing £150 and being stuck with a dumpvalve i cant use... fcuk it i bought it anyway... got it home read the fitting instructions it said to remove the standard dumpvalve and blank the pipes where it was, and the to cut 20mm off the hose on the throttlebody (well after reading this all i was thinking was what if i cut this pipe and it dont work ill be fcuked) i had a coffee and thought ill make a start went to take the vacum hose off the standard dumpvalve and straightaway snapped the nipple off the top of it... well now im thinking fcuk what if it dont work!!! im b0lloxed... well got to finish it now so i done the rest... started the car and wayhay no engine management light, took it for a blast and all is good... BIG RELIVE... then fitted my pipercross induction kit now it sound good... well chuffed...

so what is the worry with fitting this type of dump valve then??? it all went well for me...

The problem you have is your car is now not running as it should / at its best.
