Will ET20 fit? please help
« on: 18 February 2009, 19:58 »
Hey guys i have just recived some Lenso BSX alloys that i ordered from Rimstyle.com. I was originaly rang and told there was a fitment issue and it might not work, i ordered 7x15 ET38 and he said he woul check with the dealer e.t.c to double check. 10mins later he rang back and said they should fit ok. When i recived the wheels they are the second option available of ET20. my question is has he changed the ET without telling me,cus he did not mention a change.and does anyone no if a 7x15 ET20 wheel will fit, test fitting looks like it will be miles out the arches. my car is lowered on coilovers its a VR6 so bigger brakes and i wish to use the standard 205 50 15 tyres on the wheels for now.Sorry for the essay and any help would be much apreciated

Not a chance they will fit, mine rubbed with et35 yours are 15mm further out.

They have sent / supplied the wrong item.

No amount of arch will get them on, send them back.

Hi mate iv heared after a bit of research some people have got 15'' ET20's on a VR6 but im not sure on what tyres they are running. Due to them only being 15'' i might be able to get away with it in some cases iv heared use of 16'' with an ET20. So ill have to suck it and see on saterday morning, some height adjustments may be needed as my car is rather low. I HOPE it all goes ok lol.

The only I can see with that Dan is if you have to raise the car, due to the wheels not being right, doesn't that defeat the object of lowering? LOL! Wouldn't it be easier to just send them back and get the right ones? Because if you're not happy with them in the end if you do manage to get them to fit they won't take them back surely?

They will not fit even with standard ride height, mine were et35 and they rubbed the arch.

They have supplied the wrong item and not as ordered, you are going to have to get the arches rolled and flared for them to fit plus it is going to bumpsteer and tramline.

This was mine on 6x15 (et38) Audi A3 alloys with 195/50/15, what you have got is a 1" wider rim plus wider tyres and 18mm closer to the arch.

im starting to think this is vehicle dependant. im running 8x16, 195-45-46 et 22 with no probs. 70mm-80mm drop.

just seems like people are struggling with offsets, where as my offset is pretty low but i dont have any issues.

I think yours are more than et22 hence why they are ok.
