Thanks for all the info guyz.

Well I got my guy to look at it today, he could find any fault out of the engine :( he recons that before the engine was a bit retarded and when I had the new distibutor fitted and the tuning was set right it showed up this problem. he recons it is probably the seals :(

So, if I am getting them done I recon I should get a complete recon done, as the car has done 182000 (was planning this for next year, but what the hell). anything else I could get done when it is in this state?

Also how much is it to have a recon done, my guy is pricing parts this week and will let me know, but I would like a rough honest price off you guyz first, just to see if it tallys up!

For the short term, unitll i can get some cash would these be viable options?

1) I could retard the tuning on the engine slightly so it stops smoking (like it was before) - Will this cause anything else to go wrong or damage something?

2) I was told of this product called "something stop smoke", put it in your engine and it coats everything with like a teflon coating. Will this F**k up the engine up when I come to have it reconed?

Thanks for your help
