well here it starts . .

i baught the car as it stands at the moment, i obviously have my own bits i have planned and im sure ill be thnking of things along the way aswell! hence this thread lol. .

right anyway! the car!

it started life as a mk2 golf gti 8v, in blue! since then the previous owner has dropped in a 2.0 16v abf lump, still running the k-jet though! it was fully resprayed black around 2 tears ago and the engine was rebuilt around 1500 miles ago now! heres a few pics, the spec list and a list of a few plans i would like to do. .and ill keep updated while i go :D

plans:
ice! subtle boot build . .
little lower with some stretch
interior? maybe change to g60 elec
exhaust
camo hoses
polished engine bits
stainless header tank
stainless washer bottle
wheels refurbed
powdercoated rocker cover
goodridge braided hoses
hid's
shaved front bumper
new red bumper lines

spec:
Engine:
2.0 16v ABF with kjet fully rebuilt 1000 miles ago.
microdynamics rising fuel rate regulator.
50mm inlet and throttle pot.

chassis, suspension and brakes:
polybushed
supersport coilovers

wheels and tyres:
15" ronal turbo r10's

body:
fully resprayed in black 2 years ago
wheelarch and side mouldings removed
delocked and smooth audi door handles
debadged single light grill
Crystal clear cross hair headlights
Crystal clear rear lights

HID's now on! fitted a 6000k hi/lo kit to it, 10 times better :D pics coming soon!

done my bumper red lines today! looks mint! also applyed some autoglym bumper care, bumpers look like new now very impressed! good results, pics coming soon

finally going to update with some pics lol!

here some pics of my refurbed bumpers, used autogylm bumpercare which worked wonders! and some red insulation tape with alot of patience tucking and cutting lol, big results i think:




heres some pics of my hids, 6000k colour rating:


unfortunatly my bottom end went, spun a big end shell ( hence why i missed springfest :( ), found the remains of it sitting in my sump, a new abf engine has been ordered and will be dropped in as soon as it arrives:

update on engine swap***

heres my big ends . . spot the knackered one lol!.


removed front end, radiator, top and bottom coolant pipes.


unplugged all sensors, moved all wiring out of the way, rest of the coolant pipes disconnected, airbox removed and fuel pipes disconnected.


front crossmember removed, engine mounts disconnected, ready to drop out :).


engine dropped out, bay looking bare!?.




new engine ready to go in, timing belt changed out of car, gearbox fitted, stripped of unwanted ancilleries, p/s pump, hoses etc.


engine now in and inlet, kjetronic injection transfered onto new engine, oil service done, few bits too be done now:) more pics soon!

now up and running sweet as a nut :D

playing with ideas for wheels at the moment, got some porsche 928's mirror polished on atm as a trial :P with some 35mm hubsentric spacers. . .

just a quick update!

porsche rims now sold, got some bbs style comps on for temp use atm but should have some rims lined up :P will post some pics soon!!

right an update at long last!!

the comps thats were on for temp use:


then put some 3 spokes on, sprayed them multi colours, my track wheels :D:




and one from the show, the attention whore bear!!:


rear strut brace now in, all ready for track :D:
