IM BACK!, but just to pick up some cd's hehe... i frickin love it guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at about 3500 rpms my neck nearly snapped! not used to the brakes yet though as everytime i come to a stop it looks like im emergency breaking haha, they're very sensitive!

it looks ten times better as its been cleaned and polished up by the garage, the interior is very nice and newish now, was playing with the parrot gadget, very clear bit of kit

i need to get used to the dsg too, im very very happy and pleased with the purchase, such a sturdy built car, oh man and cornering... i was waiting for the body roll but there isn't any hahaha, my old car used to try and put me through the side window when i went around a round about... cannot describe the joy in me guys

i still feel that way even after 8000 miles and 8 months ownership. I still find myself staring at the car as I walk away after parking it.

I had a grin on my face like I had a coat hanger trapped in my mouth.

Mate, I have that every time I walk back to the car and see it head on (doesn't look as lush from behind!). Especially now that I've detailed it.

oh man, my back aches...

im out of fuel now and its raining so its time to call it a night, i haven't smiled like that in about 10 years! she's very very thirsty but i just keep feeding her more lol!

im a bit confused on the rain wipers though, it seems there are 3 setting and a sensitivity control but no matter which setting i have it on it all wipes at the same speed... sometimes not at all, is there a way to turn the auto rain sensor off?

just realised it has headlight washers and auto height adjusters, does this mean i can get some HID's/xenons and it'll still be road legal?

Joes GTI is awesome!

Don't think the little toggle switch is related to the auto-wipe function. It determines the length of interval between wipes. If you deactivate autowipers (via VAGCOM) you can then adjust the wipe interval using the toggle button.

You still need a levelling kit, the correct xenon kit + lenses and have them all properly fitted. Will cost £££.

to deactivate auto wipers just make sure the lever is set to the most bottom (grammar?) setting.

to put wiipers back on auto push the lever up one notch.

That is assuming you have the lights set to AUTO.

thanks guys, so its related to the auto lights too

I think i'll settle for some phillips power bulbs onstead of HID's he he.
