No matter what you get, you'll always find somet that looks different and 'nicer'. Its hard ignoring these when you are picking up your car though!

One word of advice - after you have picked up your car, or if you already have it now - NEVER check back on pistonheads or autotrader etc - at least for a few months etc! You'll only start comparing your car with somet else of the same value and wishing you had of got that, or waited etc instead. Either that, or you'll see prices dropping. It'll only frustrate you even more!

Im in no rush to get my ED30 at the mo, as long as I get it by July (before the summer ;) ), so Im starting to casually look around now. If somet pops up, I'll go for it. If it doesnt, I'll keep looking.

I know you guys are gonna hate me for saying this...............but...............I hope prices keep falling for the next few months!!

FWIW, when I picked up my MY99 Subaru Impreza way back when. I was chuffed. It was the 2nd Scooby I'd had, and as far as I was concerned, I had "arrived". The MY99 is still regarded as the best of the "classics", as it was a better car than the MY00 prior to changing to the Bugeye etc then STi etc.

I had a grin on my face like I had a coat hanger trapped in my mouth.

As I was loading the child seats into the back of the car, a Jeep turned up, and out popped an entire family (Mum, Dad, daughter and son)

At the same time, a BRAND new P1 was driven out to the sound of Dad saying, "Happy 18th birthday, son"......

Obviously, lots of hugs et.

As Dad is walking in to finalise whatever, he said, "Oh yeh, what stereo do you want?"
The son replied, "Just get me the most expensive one"......

Somewhat deflated my day - not for long, as the drive back from Worcester was fantastic!!

Turns out the kid was a spoilt, obnoxious little so and so. He eventually sold it back to the dealership, who spent alot fixing it up, removing all the chav stuff. Apparently as the transporter left with the car from the parents' house, the son was asked, "Will you miss it?"

The sneer and snort of "whatever" said it all really.  His 2nd car at the age of 20, was an M3.

I wouldn't want to be him for all the nice cars in the world.

Enjoy your car mate - you'll have a lot more fun and satisfaction that YOU'VE modded it to how you want it to be. You'll also learn shed loads about your car too :)

No mate - it was Listers of Worcester. I can only vouch for the fact that I was there when they pulled the car out - very nice too. What a waste
