« on: 16 February 2009, 20:16 »
Right ..this has been bugging me for a while..
I want the alloy bits in my engine bay to have that new oe look, inlet manifold, gear box etc..
and when i get that oe look , how to keep it that way..
dont want to go down the powder coat road (non where i live), there is a guy that will do vapour blasting..
what about silver paint?? is one better than another for that LOOK???

Which mark, and which engine ?

I used silver (aluminium-ish colour) heat resistant spray paint on my Mk2 16v intake etc. and it looks good.

wurth do an aluminium/silver paint which is very good for looking like very clean aluminium. might be worth looking it out? not sure if they sell to the public but if not i have an account with them so could always get some for you.
