« on: 03 July 2004, 10:18 »
Hi All,
Just had my 16v serviced and on rolling road,she was making 91 bhp @ wheels.Does this sound about right,compression was 235 235 225 225.
Does any 1 know of a good dealer to get a piper cross lower air box kit and wot sort of price i would expect to pay..http://

no. that sounds cack! mk2 16v should run 139bhp as standard. something's seriously not right there. Have you checked your emissions? seeing as you can't use a cone filter a K&N replacement panel filter will be your best bet. I think they're about ?30, but I could be wrong.

91 at the wheels sounds a bit low, should be more than 100.

thank yo for you more relistic reading,
car went in feeling a bit sluggish but come out feel a lot nicer with a bit more power,i put it down to the dyno being a low reading one,on the paper work is says readings taken @ 70 mph which i dont quite under stand, was this the horse power it made getting to 70mph or from a rolling start @ 70?
