Sounds a good spec, but there are a few others to look at

Highline mfd if you can't get hold of one with Satnav.
Xenons

Deffo Highline MFD :)

Xenons, well I've got em on my S4 now, and they are good, but I can't help but think that Philips whitelight bulbs (uprated etc) would be a decent compromise......

To be honest, while the power-hike appeals, I couldn't live with the interior (not keen on the chequered fleck) nor the wheels.....

Will probably Revo just to get it somewhere near my S4

I wasnt either, pictures really dont do the seats justice. Also has far more potential than the KO3 engine though, sure I cant tempt you haha....

Very true but IMO a remapped gti at approx 250bhp is right at the limit of what is useable on a day to day basis on normal roads.  Any more power and i think putting the power down must be real hard work?

*cough* LSD

Only joking, I know what you mean, I think 230 is sometimes a handful to get down especially in 1st and 2nd, sometimes in 3rd depending on the conditions.

The 2.0 TFSI (or TSI or whatever VW are calling it this week) does feel a little flat and the throttle response is a bit dull as standard. But this engine was just born to be re-mapped. Makes a good car a great car.

The 2.0 TFSI and the 2.0 TSI are two completely different engines, with differing characteristics - so which engine are you referring to?  :undecided:

Is your S4 the B6 with the old-skool Xenons, or the later B7 with the 'Bi-Xenons'?  Anyway, the Golf Bi-Xenons are way better than the B6 Xenons, and are actually better than the B7 Xenons too.  You really do need the Xenons on the Golf.
