Anyone know how I remove the walnut trim that's on each side of the stereo/heating controls?  The thin bits?
you can do it the easy way ie small flat screwdriver and try to move it upwards but tbh i would remove your side trim (of the centre section) and radio/cd player etc to leave just the cage and then remove that as a unit the side pieces can be pushed up and then pop out not to bad a job  :smiley:

I wondered if I'd he able to just pop the trims off or not.

possibly but at the bottom of the trim piece it curves round and under :laugh: there isnt much room  to lift as such iirc somebody(although i think not on here)has done it this way tbh i would remove trim etc and try it that way bob :wink:

cheers mate :afro: the paint was from motorworld its "carplan" colormatch aluminium and i used grey primer couple of coats with the primer to get a base and then 3 coats of aluminium spray and 2 coats of clear laquer( dealers-used the rest up when i brought tin of reflex silver) hth mate

i don't mind the wood trim either, but if you want to change your Knob you really need to match the trim.

I don't mind the standard trim, it doesn't offend me enough to rip it out   :smiley:

I quite like that, if my imitation alu bits bubble up in the summer (like everyone predicts :wink:) I might spray mine up

a fan of the std trim  :laugh: :grin: think i had mine in a week and it got changed  :smiley: didnt like it much when i went to look at the car but as soon as i found out it could be changed well r32 trim it was  :rolleyes:
