So if your favourite car of all time was offered for sale to you at a price it would be rude to say no to, you would never buy it if it had parking sensors?
If it was a deal not to be missed then of course I'd buy it.  I'd just use the money I'd saved to get them removed

....Fussy or what. Your perogative.

[Thinks: Will I ever understand the female mind?]
Maybe not, but at least you'll know a chick that can park

....Tut-tut  - No-one's challenging your ability to park, my dear.

Honestly speaking RR, I'd do the same. Have yet to see a car where sensors make it look good.

....Fair enough - We can't all like exactly the same. I kinda like the black pimples on my red bum - They look well with the other black bits (IMO).

I had my parking sensors retro-fitted (whoever asked for a picture I will try and remember to take one for you). The VW ones come black and on my black golf i find them barely noticeable. I have to have them as I broke my neck and triple-dislocated my spine playing rugby a few years ago. Be warned though if you do get extremely used to using them, just remember that not all cars have them (ie a courtesy car...... ooops!!!) - but the less said about that the better! :lipsrsealed:

....

AFAIK all the aftermarket ones are black. Some people will say thay can be carefully masked and painted but there's a big risk of clogging them.

Okay, some people dislike seeing them and others can't get beyond being concerned that others may think they can't park, and some both! Each to their own, as we say.

I don't like the Ka-style big black plastic rear bumpers on Mk5 GTI's, so I changed it - I guess it's the same for those who are bothered by 4 small black dots.

like many said earlier, being a hatchnback I thought that it would be dead easu to park, however due to the thick c pillars and relatively small and high rear window, it is quite hard to judge when reversing. I think sensors would be very handy.

^^^^
Exactly that - They are handy - You ain't gonna smash up the back of your GTI without them but they sure do help you miss the obstacles is easy to miss (posts and high kerbs etc). Having them doesn't mean you're a 'girl' who can't park.
