Parking Sensors. GTI must or expensive luxury?

Hi thinking of parking sensors however not sure if it worth the money. Any ideas how dear?

Not sure what you mean after market. I currently dont have sensors so is it worthwhile getting them fitted?

By aftermarket he means are you having thrid party sensors fitted, or are you planning on getting the VW ones?

I would say it depends on how much you really need, or would use them. Do you tend to park on a driveway or garage etc? If so you probably wouldnt need parking sensors. If you parallel park quite often, then they can be pretty handy....

Very handy piece of kit IMO, you miss them once you have them.

Thanks i mostly park in car parks and dont do too much parr parking. However if i was getting it done it would be VW sensors. Any idea how much?

I wish I had parking sensors when I first started driving the GTI. Was such a huge car in comparison to the fezza, I difficulties adjusting to the size. Don't need them any more.

PLus I hate the look when the sensors are fitted - ruins the bumper IMO. Definitely want the passatt cc reversing camera.

I have sensors on my A4 & would miss them if they were not there & would spec them on any car.

I am picking up an Ed30 for the wife on Monday & have a price of the local dealer to fit OEM ones coded in grey for £230.00, which i think is worth it.

Also fitting cruise for £155.

cool i may have a look at pricing some up. I have cruise and i use it all the time om M/Way. love the simplicity of the cruise and sure the wife will love it.

I hate the look when the sensors are fitted - ruins the bumper IMO.

....I didn't think I would need them but I later got my VW dealer to fit some. I wouldn't be without them now - Extremely useful in a tight space.

Painting aftermarket sensors risks clogging them. I've got lots of black bits on my car's arse, so I don't mind.
