I suspect that the cable will be there. Best bet is to lift out the cubby and have a look. When I looked at my car at the dealer prior to buying it I looked in the armrest and there was nothing there but a connector at the bottom. I pointed out to the salesman that there was something missing from it and he said yeah we'll get you an ipod connection. When I checked later it wasn't listed as one of the options that the car had from new.
So I don't know what happened to the original cubby but I think i managed to score an ipod dock that wasn't supposed to be there.
All that said, don't bother. Its OK but there will be better aftermarket kits out there that will be easier to fit in the event that the wiring isn't there.
(If the wiring is in the armrest you could put a CD changer in there too - same wiring)
