gti 1.8T dump valve/chipping??

Hi i,m looking into making my 1.8t a bit quicker......being a newbie in all this i hope i can pick yo'll brains..
1...Is the first thing to do...install a dump valve which are best? is it easy?
2....Chipping your car is it recomended does it work?..do you have to upgrade other parts to allow for extra wear..?
any advice is appreciated

Hiya mate, welcome to the site, if you get no joy in here try putting a thread in the mk4 section presuming you have a mk4   tophuh has had a re-map on his mk4 and will be one to answer the questions, you could even PM him if you wanted a quick reply. Good luck
