....

I love mine too!

Everytime I park, lock, and walk away from her I have to turn and admire the way she looks.
It's just like a pretty girl you pass in the street - You have to turn and perv all over her have a second look!

And as for being a great allrounder AND a pure joy to drive at any speed - fast or slow.

No reason not to keep her.

The GTi is my 31st car in 21yrs of driving!!!

Previously to this, I had a BMW 120D M sport. I only kept it 3 mths!! Within a week of buying it, I knew there was something about the car I did not like.

Anyway, when I saw my GTi 4 sale, I was offered a great deal, so jumped into my first VW.

Its early days, 3 weeks in, but I have to say, I LOVE THIS CAR!!! For the first time in 31 cars, I have had no doubts whatsoever that its the car for me. Normally, after a week or so, the novelty wears off and I start to doubt my purchase. Not this time, I love the GTi and think I will keep it for at least 2 years.

Andy

Hi Andy,

I was considering a 120d m sport or more likely a 123d m sport as a replacement for the gti (but not yet:))  I'd love a comparison if you wouldnt mind

Why will you have to give it back?

....Theoretically, if they are obliged to submit a figure which is close to the current market value, you could get a bargain. But of course no-one knows what you'll 'lose' when you eventually want to sell her.

Hmm, the R32 is potentially a bit of a classic in the longer term. At least you know her well and can decide how much you want to keep her.

....Hi matey :afro: Long time no see/hear.

Yep, she's running very sweet at the moment and I'm loving the VWR-KW-V3 suspension combined with Quaife. I'm going to the Dyno-Day at JKM 7th March - Not expecting bigger numbers but more interested in checking her health. It's nice to combine it with a social.

How about you?

Think its taken the majority of its hit already so would not mind investing in a R32 long term. As I usually like to change cars every 2 yrs I thought this would be the case with the R but its gone totally the other way....  :undecided: i really do want to keep her, but will wait and see how cheap i can get it.

Have been seriously tempted by this tho.... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/888405.htm

Beemers are excellent cars imo and I think they currently make the best diesels......But from petrol V6 to diesel zorst music?

I'd keep the .:R and buy a Milltek instead! But each to their own.
