Anniversary Back box
« on: 11 February 2009, 21:16 »
I'm considering changing my standard back box on my 1.8t for an OEM anniversary back box. I know I will need to change the valance. Has anyone else done this mod ? is the anniversary exhaust louder than a standard discrete exhaust ? Cant really justify spending £300 ish on a miltek.... Yet

Hello grahamster

I dont think the sound is any louder than the normal one, you only notice it if you rev it and when it comes back down last 2000 rpm it makes a nice noise. Id save for a Miltek dude

I've got an OE Anni back box which I never bothered fitting if you're interested?  It had only done about 27k, IIRC.  (The tailpipe has been shined up so it looks very nice indeed). ;)

No, not ATM.  It's in my mums' garage, so I'll take some snaps when I'm next round. :afro:

Thanks for the advice Max.

Ivor Send me a pic if you can, intersted in the back box. How much would you want for it ?

Just priced up a genuine rear anniversary valance £300  Going to have to search fleabay.

Miltek is sooo tempting though.

balls why didnt i see this post before, ive been looking for a anni backbox for ages, even put a wanted post up!!!

Ive got the 4motion rear milltek and wanted the anni style, milltek didnt answer my emails so was hoping someone would swap with me.

If you wanted milltek mate, id buy the box off ivor and you could have mine if you wanted, with the 4motion valance aswell, as i already have a unpainted anni valance.
