Sheesh, when will people learn about Golf3 8V GTIs?

They just can't be made good.

Even going to a 16V motor has a cable-change 'box, which needs different driveshafts.  VR6 too.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

You're gonna need a big drop, or deep pockets.

Or if you want to keep the 1.4 bit of the engine, a 1.4 TFSI Golf5 that's been stuffed up the ar$e.

dam right!!!

At least if you are going to charge a 2.0 8v get a Eaton charger off a Merc 230 Kompressor or similar as a G60 isnt a direct fit and is more hassle than its worth. Besides  there are plenty more differeces between a 1.8 G60 engine and a 2.0 8v other than the charger!!

Even if you want to do a VR or 16v conversion inless you have a very mint shell , air con, all electrics an recaro or leather interior id sooner sell the 8v and buy a VR6, then whatever money you have set aside for putting a supercharger on a 8v id use toward maintenance on the VR and possibly a  supercharger for a VR6 and have circa 275+ HP and already have the 288mm brakes, the better cable change box, 5stud hubs, that a VR has as standard.

plenty of VRs for <£2k and you could EASILY spend 2k having a charger installed on a 8v and still have less than 200hp.
