my gti has

bored out engine rebuilt port an polished,  3" dubspeed big bore intake,  k&n filter,  performance exhaust system, autotech cam, 16V throttle body, racing header, neuspeed short shift.  

and im thinkin its not really faster then my other unmodified gti.  how much HP do you think all this adds and how much quicker should it "feel" cause it still feels sluggish.  i was thinkin about gettin the KE-Jetronic Power Module,  but wasnt sure if it was worth it. ???
oh and its a kjet 8v  :-\

Who did the engine work ??? Could be loadsa things ... are you sure the cam is dialed in properly too ??

'Dialling in' a cam is a real art, and needs to be set very accurately to get the best from it.

Basically, when you change a cam belt and line up the TDC marks on the cam pulley and bottom pulley your using the manufacturers marks for the stock cam. When you replace your cam these marks are dam near useless! Your engine will work if you use the stock marks, but you'll not be making the most of the cam's longer duration (ie. the valves open higher for longer and this is what gives u the performance increase).

I can give you a proper description of this if you want - but it's rather long .... so I'd say try and find out first before you get me typing out an essay !!!!

Best thing to find out is when was the cam belt last changed / who did it / and where they aware of the new cam? Check to see if there's any new marks on the pulley's too / do you have a vernier pulley too?
