Higher offset means they don't stick out as far, BUT, doesn't the 5 stud front end result in a wider track?

yes mines widetrack so thats not a problem  :smiley:. Do the bolts need removing to get these refurbed?

Definitely.  A lot of people use vaseline when replacing them to keep corrosion at bay.

They shouldn't scrub provided the tyres are a lowish profile 45 or less and even 50 if 195 may work.

I have a set of the LM's in a four stud that fitedt my 40mm lowered 16v no problem, with 205/45 tyres fitted.

I have ran 195/45/16 and 205/45/16 tyres on 7" and 6" Porsche wheels without any worries, the offsets were 20 and 27mm I think so would be nearer the arches than the BBS LM's

The 8" Porsche rears, 27mm offset I had were a little too close to the rear arches though.

Don't know if thats any help, but I would say you'd be ok.....
