limited edition

hi,

was talking to this chap today in the scrap yard whilst pulling of bits, he was saying he had a mk3 8v gti on a k plate that was a special/limited edition it was fitted with the silver clocks/ red checkered gti cloth type seats and finished in LB6Z - Montana green is this sounding right

the anniversary was built in 1996 (to celebrate 20 years of gti-ness!). It sounds like a std gti with newer bits added (there was no special edition gti on a k plate!)

yes i may have the paint code wrong he shown me some pics on his phone, it wasnt a colour i had seen b4 and was a VW paint

LB6Z was avalible until 1993/94 on the gti (and its a rare colour) but i cannot find a special edition gti until the anni arrived

just sounds like any regular gti with some bits from a annie wacked on, no biggie and no ltd edition either...

the red check seats are easily worth £150-250 (if not more in very good condition)..... could be worth offering £100 for the full car  :wink:
