That's.....brave   Some of those pictures look scary!  Excellent write up.  I have the same sentiments - I'd like to know more about what's under the bonnet and have contemplated doing mods myself.  However, i'm having second thoughts now....

Reading this post convinces me even more NOT to ever attempt such things myself! I'll just stick to the driving.

I like to get my hands dirty although I must admit I have never attempted anything on this scale.  I had the rocker cover off on my previous car though to perform some maintenance.

I've been watching a lot of "the garage" lately on discovery.. maybe thats where my desire to dismantle things comes from

A small tip for removing the bumper - remove the screws in the wheel arches before lifting the front of the car - easy access can be gained by putting the steering on full lock in each direction

I think you need to tidy up your front yard abit!

Not my front yard     Its the next door to my in-laws.  It used to be a housing association place until it was boarded up 6 months ago.  My in-laws bought the place a couple of weeks ago and it needs a complete renovation... the yard is cleaner than the inside

Dad scratched my car getting it out of the drive the other day the f**ker.

All in all, good job 

B0ll0x    I've given up on it - if I got a tenner every I scraped it I could probably get a mint Mk2    I'm just going to get another and have it sprayed black and keep it in the garage ready to use for shows if need be.
