very easy, 10 mins to do

remove headlamp switch, theirs a tab u push inwards once you remove ABS light panel

remove the trim to the right of the stereo, where the heated seat switch is on yours i think, this hides a screw, undo that and the ones behind the headlight switch then the surround round the clocks pulls off, you may need to remove the steering covers too (ones round the ignition etc)

the clocks themselves are held in via 2 screws, un do these and they tilt forward, bulbs are twist fit under a cover on the top, its easier to remove the clocks from the car, just reach behind and un plug the connector (its on the left side) then pull the clocks out

very simple once you get going

Are you wanting to change the colour ?

If so, you'll have to take the green filter out of the top as well.

My MFA/clock lcd panel isn't lighting up is it just a matter of changing a bulb or are the lcd panel ones lit up by leds soldered to the circuit board ?

i took the bulbs out of mine, then went to the vw dealer but you may get them from auto factors. Cost me £1.50 a bulb i think, i changed both while i had it out as its sods law the other may go soon.

Yeah mine was a bulb one for the MFA lcd screen and one for the Odometer. So I replaced both.. Didn't want one brighter than the other or the other one go and have to get the dials out again. Cost £3.00 for 2 bulbs from motor factor.
