you wouldnt think something coverd in oil would get so sieze would ya 

the sump on my old MK3 got totally mushed, i fitted a wheel nut in there with some PTFE and it never let me down.. .big bodge though!  At worst try poping it into a garage and ask them niceley to wack it off, with a good bar and a ramp its alot easier.   Those adapters really are crap though... get the correct sockets and it will be easier.

Mine was also tightened FT, I used a impact wrench on mine.... As for turning it the wrong way, remember. Righty tighty lefty loosey

All sorted, nice new oil in and sounding loverly and quiet.

Whilst I was at it I stripped the throttle body and cleaned up the butterfly part of the assy.. minty mint.

Side skirt plastic cover arrived this morning so thats fitted.

Dizzy, rotor arm and sparkies will be at the dealers tommorrow (cant beleive they dont hold stock).

Right, the heater resister pack, has anyone measured the resistance across the connecters to see what the values are? I've taken mine off cause the heater only works on 4 and measured the resistance across the connecters, all the values are different, so to me its as though this might not be faulty !?!? Any ideas?? If anyone would take 20 mins to measure their heater pack I would be most grateful.

Oh yeah, the rear hatch spoiler damaged, a replacement is on its way bought from a member on these forums..

Hopefully in a week or so the car will be fully normal. After that it needs a proper cleaning,claybar and waxing. Then I can start to look at putting me amps in and swapping the speakers out.

So far very pleased with it..

i had the same problem as you m8, car hadnt had a service in 20k , so i put engine flush in, got under the car and no luck, in the end i had to heat it up then it came free quiet easily

Was going to say, The "hot spanner" is always my first port of call, I never Hammer sockets on etc and always use Kluber anti seize paste on nuts and bolts to avoid this situation years of skinless Knuckles have taught me well
