did a few track days best was coombe in the mitsi evo5 .........the fiesta was fun i was 18 and young and foolish........nothing like when i was a  20 yr old in my 450bhp 4x4 sapphire cosworth annilalating 100k porsches and ferraris! but was sooooooooooo funny tho!!

A car which needs rebuilding and breaks down loads, looks awful and has a shoddy interior but goes faster than a ferrari

or

a ferrari

I know which i would rather own (money no object of course)

Lewis hamilton could beat a ferrari in a 1.2 corsa if the ferrari driver was not very good!

what r u refering to the cosworth?? the saph was only 5years old when i bought it so wudnt say shoddy interior had totally mint black full recaro leather and wasnt always breaking down (if tuned/built correctly) and at 20 it was spot on lol........... i had abit of trouble with it as i tuned it until i got the £££ out and did it properly (MAD DEVELOPEMENTS rebuild)........im talking a good 12-13 years ago now there were virtually no japanese cars on the roads and the 'import craze' hadnt been thought off so cossies were the cars to have and big power ones gained massive respect in the day!! even to this day u cant beat the rear end squat of a well launched saph 2wd/4x4!
........ im not on here boasting or saying the cossie was better than a ferrari/porsche just it destroyed it in all areas when i came up against one that was up for a bit of fun!!!

Sorry mate i thought you meant recently! I was 10, 12 years ago, so cant remember what it was like new  Nice one for being one of the 1st mate and that must have been awesome! Im not a fan of cosworths now as they have all been ragged and destroyed! Usually owned by arseholes to!
Sounds like an awesome car for 20! I had a vtr lol  :lipsrsealed:

yep went like a bat outta hell and the grip was amazing to!! was great doing full bore launches with my 2 stage boost controller limiting boost in 1/2 then building up it up lol..........was funny as when i got the car it had a stg1 'chip' running bout 270bhp i put a full scorpion exhaust and a mahoooosive k+n induction kit then drove it for 1yr,1 morning said to my mum cant believe how reliable its been (as they were notorious for blowing headgaskets and gearboxes/clutches/diffs etc on the 4x4's if ragged etc) the next day car wouldnt start tried every sensor etc still no luck took it to 2 local 'specialists' loom had packet up so got new loom had that fitted still wudnt run right so trailered it to devon to my tuner who did diagnostics and pulled all the loom out again and checked it refitted all was spot on but was running standard, left devon £1200 later  :embarassed:....4 miles from home at 1am driving thru a forrest hit a deer did minor damage but straight into bodyshop for a £1000 repair, then week later engine seized got quotes for second hand engine £1500ish rebuilt to standard spec £2500 ish or the tuner (M.A.D)joked £8000 and ull have 425bhp i just said sod it and went for it.......then did everything else over 2 years uprated gearbox/diffs/ap racing 330mm 4pots/compotive alloys/bodywork etc spent close £20k modding it in 3 years lol.............they were the good ol cossie days
