hi

Had the dreaded m.o.t today at my local stealers (as well as tyres) anyway it failed :sad: had a look with the tech and he showed me reason apparently my osf brake caliper hose was starting to split  :laugh: so wasnt happy  :huh: anyway its back in on tuesday morn to be replaced (£98.00) :sad: would like bit of advice from anyone please as the last people who needed to unclip the hose were dpm performance (vag specialist) they fitted my jom shocks and springs having looked at what vw showed me there are clips at the lower end of the struts and the nsf one has the brake pad warning light sensor wiring clipped into this which is correct but not used on the osf however vw said that my hose was clipped into that one and because of that the hose has chaffed/starting to split they told me it shouldnt have been put in there! this is second issue i have now had with them as they incorrectly fitted my miltek  :laugh: and miltek had to re-fit it any advice  on how i would stand with this? as i want to ring him monday? on a plus side least the golf will pass tues :afro:

£98 is a lot, you can buy really nice braided ones for less than that.

indeed! probably take them about 10 minutes to replace too

i got a full set of braided hoses for £50 last year - still need to fit the rear ones mind............. :embarassed:

Does it need bleeding to put new hoses on?

So if you replaced it yourself you'd have to pay for re-test?
