I just found something wierd in my carb :S With Picture!!

I've posted up about my air box so today i decided to have a good look and see if the carb looked ok (not that im an expert with carbs or anything... ) Then i found this metal tube jammed in the air intake flap.. surely this isnt meant to be there is it? it looks like one of the extenders used to make it possible to screw the K&N on...

Would this explain why my car has been difficult to start when cold (have to stay on the throttle for it to not cut out) and sometimes idle higher than others... also it would drive awkwardly at low speeds...

yeah... i mean what the f**k!

Seems to run a little smoother...seems a bit better on fuel too... its like an extender stud so that the air filter can be screwed on... gonna take the plugs out tomorrow and see whether its been running lean or not...

Don't look natural! That carb has been apart too, by the looks of the screws!

  You see some strange things on these sites.

It does look like one of the K&N spacers to me.

Yeah im pretty sure it is too...

My car starts alot easier from cold now. I used to have to warm the car up by either constantly turning it over or once it actually started to idle i used to have to keep the revs up alot untill it warmed up. Doesnt do that anymore which is a result! Seems a little better on petrol too...
