New BIG Mk2 Fan from Kent
« on: 22 January 2009, 23:17 »
Heya all

I'm 20, and my older brother is 14(ish) years older than me... he had a Red 3dr GTi when he was my age (lucky little....) with a 2.0 Audi bottom end with a GTi head. Loved it when I was 6years old and I've always loved Golfs ever since. Had it set up professionally for more acceleration and less top end, and I can still remember how it shifted!!

I'm a twin too, and my twin brother has got a 5dr (Red, best colour for the Mk2 ) Mk2 1300 Ryder. Planning on making that into a GTi replica, which I think I'm more excited about than he is!!

My car is actually an M Reg Fiesta 1.3.... White, 5dr (be nice!!). I know its a Fiesta, but in VGC, 38k on the clock for £200, cant complain at all since its my first car.

Would still love a 1.3 Ryder though in red or white, so I could have myself a little GTi replica project going too! Been offering PX's all over the place, but obviously, its a Fiesta, clearly no takers on that one  :nerd:

So looks like Im stuck with the FRST/XR2i Reppy project for the moment!! Incase anyone cares (not sure you will, with your nippy GTi's lol). Got the SI interior in there, and brought so much stuff that I haven't had the time/money to get sorted and fitted.

- LED high level brakelight (for more visability more than anything)
- Some 16" Wolf Tuning Wheels from Germany (Wolf is a German Ford Tuning Company )
- The full RS Bodykit, which all needs painting. Colour coding the rear spoiler and mirrors too
- RS1800 shocks and springs, anti-roll bars with poly bushes
- Tinted the rear lights to look like RS accessory lights

Thats about it really, enjoying it as Fiestas are a simple little car and parts are quite cheap, just eager to learn really!!

My heart is definitely with the Mk2 Golf though, Quite like Mk4s too (with RS6 alloys.)

Thats me :)

Cheers
Alex

Welcome man. I've just gone from a blue M reg Fiesta (had a crash, replace the interior with a Ghia interior from which I also took the front end panels lol) to this

Keep your chin up man, I'm paying the insurance for this with a student account overdraft, student credit card and uni bursaries haha
