Yep.  You wont get much gain (<10%) cos the 115 bhp 2.0 8v hasn't got much more to give, but its possible.

I'm thinking of chipping/remapping my 125bhp 1.8 20v non turbo too.  :)

With a cold-air-intake system, a fancy exhaust and a remap you could probably get 135-140bhp tops.  I will struggle to get 150bhp out of mine with all that (absolute max), but I plan to do it  ;D

how much would a cold air-intake system a fancy exhaust and a re-map (whatever that is????) cost?.....

couldnt i just get an engine management chip from a faster golf and put it in mine??.........or is that a really stupid girly question?????

best thing for yours kessa is an induction kit (k+n 57i or similar) and a chip/remapp (for your specific car!!! as not swappable!!) and then an exhaust system, there are more things you can do to up the power but they involve alot of cash!!

induction kit (K+N 57i)  ?75 ish
remap/chip   between ?250-500
exhaust system           ?300+

you could probably get about 130 bhp with this lot, the next step would prob mean getting a meatier camshaft!!

If you want more power than you'll get from that lot, you're better off just selling up and getting a 1.8T, as strapping a turbo/supercharger to your engine or getting new cams will cost a bomb! ;)  (Unless, of course - like me - you love your car and would prefer to spend money beefing it up)
