hi,
i recently found an 87 golf for sale cheap but needs the ecu replaced because the one in is the wrong one but the seller has the right one, im just wondering about labour, can anyone give me a rough estimate on price for repair?

Hello,
The ECU is a 1987 should be a K or KE-Jetronic or the Bosch licenced Digifant, all of which should be plug and play? have you tried to plug the correct ecu in to the car?

well i have never had to replace anything electronic or wire related before so i dont know how to do it myself, but if someone said how to do it i would probably give it a shot to avoid costs
