VR6 HT Leads

Since GolfVR6 has had a picture of is VR6 engine as his sig, i have been wondering about the HT leads.

Are they standard, have you upgraded them?  Mine are Red and all the other VR6's i've seen have red leads.

I ask as i've heard people mention that VR6 HT leads can be quite weak and have to be replaced a lot.  Is this true!

My leads are standard, as far as i know VAG ones are black.
The leads aren't actually weak, its the fact that people don't use the correct tools to remove them.
There is a proper VAG tool for the tool, but a pair of very long nose pliers does the job just as well.
