Re-setting Delivery Miles
« on: 20 January 2009, 13:30 »
When I picked up my ED30 I am sure that I re-set the delivery miles to 0 as long as the car has done less than 50 miles - am I correct or was I daydreaming it?

you used to be able to do this on MK4 golfs i think vw removed the function because of the legal system about resetting the milage counter.

my thoughts exactly, as the car has actually covered this mileage and if reset it would be a misrepresentation of the actual mileage! i myself have not heard of this before but it does seem odd!  :undecided:

I seem to recall that the dealer could reset it once if the milage was <100 miles.

I forget the milage limit, but yes this definately was done...don't know if it still is.

When I bought my R32 in Dec 05 it had a handful of miles on it in the showroom.  On the day of collection it had been reset to zero.  The only clue was the trip computer still showed it had covered a few miles since being built.
