you need a 90spec cluster, stalks and MFA loom as well.  MK3 stalks will fit yep :)
good news is 90spoec loom is very modular so if you say got a car loom from a carb car you could find a 90spec GTI MK2/MK3/Corrado MFA stalk loom and plug that in, MK3 GTI/VR6 fuel pump loom and add that (to go with the VR fuel pump, lines and a MK3 Golf fuel tank, if you use MK2 k-jet you need a 90spec MK2 GTI pump loom & lift pump)

you can use pretty much all the loom from that, but the headlighlight and rear screen heater loom will be wrong, as will the dials and heater blower bits and random stuffs liek the interior light, door pins etc ont be the same.  quite a lot of the existing car loom will unplug from the fusebox looms, and often will plug straight back into the replacement loom, but you might have to splice a wire here & there.
If you fit mk3 clocks then thats 1 part sorted, and you would want to anyway so the rev counter works properly!

when i converted my mates 88 to 90 spec, i hardly had to splice anything.  but then i was using a MK2 90spec loom

Hopefully my fusebox faq should have everything you need to get this done, but pm me your email addy and i'll send you some diagreams :)

i have an uprated headlight loom so i only really need sidelights and a feed for dip and main , so thats no problem

as for it little bits inside the car , i can cut the original plugs off and soldering them to the MK3 loom :)

as for the clocks i will be using MK3 , so no problems with wiring there

and i will use the MK3 fusebox

will wire up the elec windows wiring and elec mirrors from the MK3 and fit the motors inside the MK2 mirrors

can i use the MK2 rear subframe or do i use the MK3 ??

what rad do i need ?? is it better to buy a corrado one ? and will that fit either the MK2 or MK3 rad mount ??
