Go for a 45 profile, get the wheels tucked up in the arches ever further.

As for tyres, get the best for your budget. But one person's choice might not be good for you.

Toyo tyres are good, Goodyear F1 Asymetrical are better. But hey that's my opinion.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

I work in the tyre industry, have done for too many years.

But don't know anyone in Oxford, my old area runs out at Swindon. (Try Cirencester Tyres if you're looking for someone friendly!)

45 profile is slightly smaller OD than 185/60r14, meaning you'll accelerate quicker!

You definately feel the difference going from budget rubbish (sorry man!) to a branded tyre. Good luck.  :smiley:
