R-Tech Remap on a 130 tdi

Can anyone tell me if this is worth doin and what sort of gains do you get ???
The car is 100% standard at the min.
As it's goin cheap at the moment i just may have to have a go :wink:

had mine done in November - power all through the rev range and 55mpg + on a run

make sure you budget for a new clutch and flywheel down the line - how long it last depends on you and your driving style

how far down the line we talkin ? Fast ish driver, 30k on the clock and havin a major service at the end of the month

how far down the line we talkin ? Fast ish driver, 30k on the clock and havin a major service at the end of the month

anywhere between 5K and over really

mine was on 80K when i had it mapped and replaced the clutch at 85K

Budget £900 as putting a standard clutch back in is a pointless exercise

ryso u wont be getting 55mpg when u slap ure gunmetal diamond cut annis on expect summot like 45mpg unfortunately :cry:

Strange, according to the weight table on uk-mkivs:

the annis with tyres only weigh 2kg more each than the monty2s- an extra 8kg all round wouldnt reduce economy by 10mpg surely????

doubt it - as long as yout tyre pressures are good and the car is regulalry serviced i can't see it taking that big a hit - guess i'll find out in a few weeks
